Now is a great time to be a member of American Independent Writers!
AIW President Claude Berube announced great news for writers during the month of August: AIW is lowering its membership dues $45/year and eliminating the $45 new-member initiation fee. Effective September 1, 2009, AIW membership is now $100/year for new and renewing members ($155/year with Job Bank subscription) through December 31, 2009. This newer membership rate is a $90 savings for new members and a $45 savings for existing members.
On top of the reduced rates, AIW also adjusted the member rate for Workshops, PubSpeaks, and Audio Conferences to make membership and even better value for AIW members. Prices are now just $10 in advance and at the door for members.
3 Reasons to Join American Independent Writers and the AIW Job Bank Right Now
- Rates will increase to $125/year ($280/year with Job Bank subscription) on January 1, 2010.
- Half of the AIW members who subscribe to the Job Bank end up working with those clients for 5 or more years; how’s that for good news during a recession?
- Networking with other people in your field is one of the best ways to grow your business, and AIW events are full of writers like you, editors, and others with leads to share.
If you’re not currently an AIW member, now is the perfect time to join. Renewals and multi-year memberships are available at the $100/year rate. Visit http://www.aiwriters.org or call the office at 202-775-5150 to join or renew your membership.
